The plot of the third season focuses on Blair, Dan and Vanessa who are trying to enroll in New York University along with movie star Olivia Burke with whom Dan enters a relationship, Nate entered University; Serena pauses year; Even Bas Industriz company deals with its stepmother Lily. The first few episodes occur during the summer holidays, so the season is taken before the beginning of classes in universities and secondary schools. Season contains many occurrences of actors like Joan Garcia as Bree Buklej, Tyre Banks as Ursula Najksvit, William Baldwin as William van der Vudsen, there are episodic roles were Lady Gaga, thorium Burch, Jimmy Fallon, Georgina Chapman and Sonic Out.
